Many of you might remember the awful news story a few months back that showed Christian girls being dragged naked through the streets by members of a Hindu extremist group in the Indian state of Manipur. It shocked the world, and it shocked many in India.
Since then, FIAM, our partner in India, have been to Manipur on two humanitarian visits. They went to some of the relief camps in the state to meet with those who have been forced from their homes. Here and in the following blog, are some of the images from their trip. No names or exact locations are included for reasons of security, although we have been given permission to share these images.
This blog depicts the wall of remembrance, and mass burial sites that were visited.
We pray for all those families affected by these atrocities, and for all those working for peace.
