Christmas for the Chisomo young people

The Chisomo project in Lusaka, Zambia, has been supporting young people who are connected with the streets for many years. For some they might be living on the streets, others are spending their daytimes begging and hawking on the streets and returning home at night. Chisomo also supports siblings who are at risk of going to the streets, and it has a half-way house for those who want to come off the streets but can’t return home for some reason.

Christmas can be hard for these young people and their families. No money for presents or a special meal or any other means of celebration. But thanks to Chisomo, Christmas this year (like many in the past) included the gift of a delicious and nutritious meal and a party for all in the Chisomo family.
