The Glow-Worm, by Mitchelle Achieng

The following poem was written as part of a poetry-writing event at Spurgeons Academy, to mark World Poetry Day

In the park

After dark

If you are to go out

In the grass

As you pass

You might see lights glow!

Near and far,

Each a star

In the grass they glow

Move about

In and out

Fairy lamps they seem!

But the fairies, glow-worms are

Sparking bravely, each a star
