The following poem was written as part of a poetry-writing event at Spurgeons Academy, to mark World Poetry Day
My Stand

I shall serve all with honesty
And show love for others
I shall show generosity
To those full of goodness
For all the loss of morality
I will encourage obedience
To the singles I advocate chastity
For this will add to our convenience
I will handle the faithful with kindness
And treat all with politeness
We should all embrace hard work
So as to take our glory book
Anyone who practices deceit
Even if its lack of a receipt
Shall wait at the gates of defeat
And ours shall be a great feat
