The Nkuru vocational college in Uganda, headed by college director John Njendahayo, has had a bumper crop of vegetables this year, including some huge cauliflowers and lots of pumpkins. In fact, they had so many that they have been able to give some of their harvest away to local residents who are, for various reasons, unable to grow their own crops.
John said that it was the combination of ‘rain, sun and cow manure’ that has resulted in the wonderful crop, and the students at the college are looking forward to being able to harvest more crops soon.
