The following poem was written as part of a poetry-writing event at Spurgeons Academy, to mark World Poetry Day
From the north to the east
Children are crying
From the south to the west
Children are suffering
Them losing hope is not part of their time
They look unhealthy and tired
Hungry and they can not be fooded
Their parents are nowhere
To be found, looking sad
Them losing hope is not part of their time
When they are alone the don’t
Have tears to fell them down
Showing the ground they
Don’t have energy to lose tears
Them losing hope is not part of their time
For the life to be succeed
They should know how
To live. They were created
With tears of joy
Them losing hope is not part of their time
When the sunshine and the birds chirping.
Them they cry and suffer for money
Sickness and no one treat them
Them losing hope is not part of their time
