In the spring, Janaki and a team from FIAM visited refugee camps in the region of Manipur, to provide support for those who, because of their Christian faith, have been persecuted and made homeless by extremist Hindu radicals.
As well as providing food stuffs and a range of supports which can be used to generate income, the team also appointed and equipped two teachers to deliver education to the children in the refugee camps. Not surprisingly, the children and their families were delighted that learning could continue for the young people.
