One of the projects that CRED Partner Butterfly Space has been supporting for many years is the distribution of baby baskets to new mums in the Nkhata Bay area of Malawi. The baby baskets are loaded with all the essential items that a young mother and her new-born baby might need including blankets, knitted clothes, and nappies. There is also education on mosquito nets and menstrual hygiene, to help the mother keep herself and her baby healthy in the first days and weeks.
With so much rural poverty in the area, the provision of these essential items and information really can be a life-line – a big thank you to all who contribute either financially or in kind to help these baskets continue to be filled and distributed.
