This is Danny Chansa a 17 yrs old boy who was staying on the streets for over a year. He’s a double orphan coming from Northern province. He came to the streets of Lusaka with his boss where he was doing some piece work after dropping out of school because his uncle could no longer afford to sponsor him. His boss abandoned him here in Lusaka and that’s how he started coming to the drop in. He mentioned to us that he wanted to quit street life and go back to school. We took him to the shelter after reforming and that’s how we enrolled him into school in grade 8 at a boarding school in mkushi and now he is doing very well and is in grade 11.
