Fun, food and dancing were the order of the day at the Christmas Party for the children who are part of the two projects that CRED supports of Acholi Quarters, Uganda. Both those who attend Hopeful Haven education project, and those who are supported to attend mainstream school enjoyed a meal of ugali, meat, rice and greens and a drink of soda. For many this might be their only meat meal in the year.
Ben was the DJ for the afternoon, and each child was given a bag of ugali, some sugar, and a bar of soap – all essentials to a better life, but sadly not always easily accessed. A good time was had by all, and the children and their families sent their thanks to the CRED Supporters who enabled this party to happen, and to show that these children are not forgotten.
