CRED has been supporting the Hopeful Haven project in Acholi Quarters, Uganda now for about 8 years, and it continues to be a blessing to so many young people who are unable to attend mainstream school for various poverty-related reasons.
This is exemplified by siblings Moses and Esther (names and faces changed). They are both sickle cell carriers and live in the Acholi community with their single mum who has been abandoned by their father because of their condition. Both of them are Hopeful Haven pupils, and they love to study so much. They messaged recently to say how much they appreciate all the support that CRED gives to allow Hopeful Haven to continue, as it gives them consistent support and access to learning that they otherwise can’t get.
