Ivan in Rwanda

Ivan (in school uniform) met GNPDR staff when he was 13 years of age and living on the street. He was very hopeless and unhealthy as he was taking drugs! Our staff advised him to stop taking the drugs, return home and go back to school, which would shape his future life. He is now 17 years old, living with his mother and enrolled in primary 6. We praise God for that.
Ivan was born HIV positive and he is on ARV drugs now, which is not easy for him, as they don’t have enough food at home! However, Ivan is still committed to education and is performing well.
We are grateful for the people who donate to this program and enable us reach out to these children, help them reintegrate into their families, and have access to education.
